You will see two sending options as radio buttons in the From line while on the Content step of an in progress campaign: Profile Email Address and System Email Address.
By default, the Profile Email Address option is selected. This is typically your day-to-day corporate business email address and is generally the recommended sending method to help ensure the best delivery among your contacts.
However if your email address uses a non-corporate domain – for example gmail.com, aol.com, or yahoo.com addresses – then sending from a system email address would be preferred due to recent changes in these providers DMARC policies.
Sending from a system email address will use the system sending domain (e.g. email.com, my.emailcampaigns.com) or your company's custom sending domain as the from email address for the campaign rather than the actual email address stored in your profile. This will allow the campaigns to be delivered, rather than bounced which would happen if they were sent using a Gmail/AOL/Yahoo email address.
To send from a system email address:
- In the From line, click the radio button to select the System Email Address option.
- The system email address will be comprised of the text you enter before the @ symbol followed by the system sending domain or your company's custom sending domain - email@example.com for example. If desired, edit the text shown before the @ symbol to be used in the system email address.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
